Case

Turning infrastructure scale into commercial value

Sinal is Denmark's largest fibre networking operator, offering stable, energy-efficient connectivity to more than 1 million addresses nationwide. With coverage across more than 40% of the country, Sinal enables digital life for both homes and businesses, playing a crucial role in Denmark’s national digital infrastructure.

The situation

The Danish fibre market is entering a new phase. As network roll-out matures, the focus is shifting from building infrastructure to unlocking future-proof value and growth through deeper market penetration and stronger commercial focus. To support the transition from infrastructure scale to lasting commercial value, Sinal invited CoreConsult to support the strategy leadership team in defining a clear commercial strategy for the next phase.

The solution

Together, we developed a commercial growth strategy to guide and unlock the potential of the next phase of market maturity.

  • Deep data foundation: Our work established a shared, fact-based understanding of root causes, including customer behaviour, competitive dynamics, and commercial performance through in-depth data analysis across segments and markets. This enabled clear strategic choices around customer focus and ownership across the organisation.

  • Strategic customer segments: We applied a new customer segmentation model, uncovering customer journeys and identifying new opportunities for tailored offerings.

  • Commercial priorities: We outlined commercial priorities, with the overall goal to accelerate sales and ensure long-term value creation.

The CoreConsult team helped us define new paths forward for our commercial activities and enabled important, data-backed discussions in the organization.

The impact

The commercial strategy provided Sinal with a clear and aligned direction for the next phase of growth. Leadership gained a shared understanding of priorities, trade-offs and must-win initiatives, enabling faster decision-making and stronger ownership throughout the value chain.

The organisation now operates with a unified understanding of commercial choices, which has strengthened alignment among leadership, teams, and key stakeholders. As a result, Sinal is better positioned to convert infrastructure investments into lasting, sustainable commercial value with greater focus and execution power.
